Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga

Pregnancy Yoga

What is Pregnancy yoga?

Prenatal or pregnancy yoga offers a gentle, grounding way to move through this time with strength, awareness and connection.

It is a safe and supportive practice designed specifically for pregnancy, helping you to feel steady in your changing body and confident as you prepare for birth.

Pregnancy yoga can gently support you to:

• Improve sleep and encourage deep rest

• Reduce stress and soothe anxiety

• Build strength and flexibility for labour and birth

• Ease lower back pain, nausea and physical discomfort

• Support pelvic floor awareness

• Connect with your baby in a calm, intentional way

Recommended by the NHS and healthcare professionals, pregnancy yoga is increasingly valued as a holistic way to care for both body and mind during pregnancy.

My approach blends mindful movement, breathwork and birth preparation in a way that feels steady and nourishing. We explore birthing positions, functional movement to relieve aches as your body changes, strengthening and softening practices to prepare for labour, and gentle pelvic floor awareness.

Breathwork sits at the heart of everything I teach. During pregnancy it helps regulate the nervous system, bringing calm and clarity. During labour it becomes an anchor; something you can return to again and again.

As both a Yoga Teacher and Birth Doula, I hold space not just for movement, but for the emotional landscape of pregnancy too.

My classes are about connection; to your body, your intuition and your baby.

I work one to one, or in small supportive groups. Whether you are completely new to yoga or have practised for years, sessions are tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

My classes are inclusive, nurturing spaces. I support those navigating anxiety, previous birth experiences, grief, recovery or simply the natural emotional shifts that pregnancy can bring.

You are welcome here, exactly as you are.

Mum & Baby Yoga

Your body has done something extraordinary and now it deserves time, patience and gentle rebuilding. My classes offers a safe, steady way to reintroduce movement after birth, supporting both physical recovery and release of emotions through breath work.

This is not about “getting your body back.” It is about honouring the body you are in now.

Postnatal yoga can gently support you to:

• Rebuild deep core strength with awareness

• Restore and rehabilitate the pelvic floor

• Ease tight shoulders, neck and back from feeding and holding

• Boost energy and stabilise mood

• Improve sleep and encourage rest

• Soothe anxiety and overwhelm

Postnatal yoga focuses on functional movement. I combine mindful strengthening, soft mobility, breath-work and nervous system regulation.

Each session is guided by what you need that day. Your body has moved through conception, pregnancy and birth; physically, hormonally and emotionally. This space is here to support that full transition into parenthood.

Breathwork remains central. It helps calm the nervous system and steady your thoughts.

The sessions can be just for you, or you may want to have your baby with you. If you need to pause, feed, change a nappy, that’s all fine.

Testimonials

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I’ve been attending Jane’s pregnancy yoga classes since I was 17 weeks pregnant, and I’ve genuinely looked forward to every session.

Jane is so lovely, knowledgeable, and supportive, bringing so much expertise to each class while also offering helpful advice throughout pregnancy.

The meditation and relaxation aspect of the classes has been especially wonderful; such a calming opportunity to unwind and switch off each week.

It’s also been a great way to meet other mums-to-be at different stages of pregnancy, which has been incredibly comforting and reassuring.”

“I found this yoga class just as I was going into my third trimester and I’m so pleased I did.

It’s given me something to focus on each week and the movement and meditation has really helped me to feel stronger and more focused.

I’m now 37 weeks and feeling less mobile! But Jane has tailored her teaching to suit my stage of pregnancy and she offers great advice and encouragement in general.

Coming to the sessions has been such a great support and it’s been wonderful meeting other mums-to-be.”
